Hussah, the builders won’t be back until Monday which means a lie in, followed by a boiled egg and soldiers (do people still have soldiers when they’re grown up?). To celebrate the lack of builders in the house we thought we’d treat ourselves to a fab cappuccino at our favourite Italian cafe with the morning papers. Dashing home for a can of vegetable barley soup (not homemade – sharp intake of breath) with added flageolet beans (for extra interest) plus a salad and some chunks of wholemeal bread.
After a short break we’re off again for a long bracing walk along the seafront, enjoying watching all the dogs having a high old time on the beach chasing each other in and out of the waves. Back home again and it was soon time for a nice glass of rosé and a bowl of Fasta Pasta with broad beans. Lublee Jublee! Fasta Pasta Recipe Here
